Merry Christmas from the Dorings!

We didn't include a Christmas letter with our card this year, mostly because I just didn't have the time. So to anyone who came to check out our blog after getting the card, consider this our letter! You can browse through the posts to see what we've been up to all year, which has been quite a lot. The biggest time suck this year has been a major remodel to our house, which you can check out in this post:
http://flightpathlounge.blogspot.com/2008/10/remodel.html

There are a lot of pictures to wade through - for those of you who haven't been by the house in a while - you'll be amazed at the changes.

Enjoy the blog, and have a great new year!

Love - Carrie, Chip & Quinn

Christmas Eve

Brenda and Brad came over for Christmas Eve dinner. We had Beef Wellington, Salmon Wellington and a chocolate peppermint creme tart. Yum!

Christmas Day

Quinn got lots of fun presents! He's already playing Ode to Joy on the Piano, such a little prodigy.

We had Christmas dinner with Lee, Kim! and Becky!

Our neighborhood in the snow

Click on the picture above to get a larger version, and you'll see a neigbor coming down the street on an ATV. People have been out on snow mobiles and dirt bikes too.

Trimming the Tree

Not Quinn's first Chrismas tree, but the first one he could really get to. He's looking a little worse for wear after a nice spill at the Aquarium earlier in the day. We're starting to find Quinn's little toys stuck in the tree, so he gets the concept.

Snow Days!

We love the snow in Seattle! Quinn wasn't quite so sure about it at first, but he got the hang of it pretty soon.

Knee deep in snow.

Our house, a winter wonderland!

Chip's got a big snowball.

Getting more used to it...

Snow Bear! Cute overload!!!

Quinn Walking (and Talking) in the Snow

We have a crazy amount of snow in the neighborhood. Anyone from colder climates thinks it's hysterical how Seattle shuts down with the smallest amount of snow. We love our snow days!

Quinn on his Scooter

Quinn riding the scooter Chip made for him.

The Return of Butterscotch

My mom gave me this rad coat a couple of years ago, she's had it quite a while. I wore it to my high school prom and a friend commented that she'd had a cat named Butterscotch who looked a lot like the coat. I pulled it out for the company Christmas party this year. Quinn LOVED it.

Now you see, your problem here is the jammer has separated from the whigajammit and the whole thing is hosed.
